Ad Caddy ("we", "our", "us") is a desktop application for social media management. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Ad Caddy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Ad Caddy, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information: Your email address, name, and password when you create an account.
• Social Media Credentials: OAuth tokens provided when you connect your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter). We do not store your social media passwords.
• Content: Posts, images, videos, and other content you create and publish through Ad Caddy.
• Analytics Data: Engagement metrics (impressions, likes, comments, clicks) retrieved from connected social media platforms.
• Usage Data: Application settings, preferences, and feature usage within Ad Caddy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• Connect to and publish content on your authorized social media accounts.
• Retrieve and display analytics from your social media accounts.
• Provide AI-powered content suggestions and ideation features.
• Track your posting schedule and accountability commitments.
• Improve the functionality and user experience of Ad Caddy.

3. Third-Party Services

Ad Caddy integrates with the following third-party services:

• Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads): To publish posts, retrieve analytics, and manage comments. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
• TikTok: To authenticate users via Login Kit and publish video content via the Content Posting API. We access the user.info.basic scope to read your profile information (open ID, avatar, display name) and the video.upload scope to upload content to your TikTok account. Governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy.
• LinkedIn: To publish posts and retrieve analytics. Governed by LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.
• X/Twitter: To publish posts. Governed by X's Privacy Policy.
• YouTube: To publish videos. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: For authentication, database storage, and file storage. Governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude AI): For AI-powered content generation. Your prompts and content are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• HubSpot: For CRM integration, contact management, and conversion tracking. Governed by HubSpot's Privacy Policy.
• Apollo.io: For lead prospecting and company enrichment. Governed by Apollo.io's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Social media OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device in an encrypted Electron store. They are not transmitted to our servers.
• API keys (Anthropic, HubSpot, Apollo) are stored locally on your device.
• Post content and analytics data are stored in Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit.
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide Ad Caddy's features, and only with your explicit authorization (e.g., when you connect a social media account).

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Social media tokens stored locally can be removed by disconnecting the platform within Ad Caddy.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Disconnect any linked social media account at any time.
• Revoke Ad Caddy's access to your social media accounts through each platform's settings.

8. TikTok-Specific Disclosures

When you connect your TikTok account to Ad Caddy:

• We use TikTok's Login Kit to authenticate you and access basic profile information (open ID, avatar, display name) via the user.info.basic scope.
• We use TikTok's Content Posting API to upload video content to your TikTok account via the video.upload scope.
• We do not access your TikTok private messages, follower lists, or any data beyond the scopes listed above.
• You can revoke Ad Caddy's access to your TikTok account at any time through TikTok's app settings or by disconnecting within Ad Caddy.

9. Children's Privacy

Ad Caddy is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above.
